Series: Work & Modern Day Slavery Discussions

September 19th 2017 ILO (International Labour Organization) Publication States there are

40 million in modern slavery and 152 million in child labour around the world

According to Anti-Slavery International, a more recent article states "Almost 50 million people are trapped in slavery worldwide" in this modern world, and this leaves no country out of it.

At Kustomers, we're now committed to start taking steps to liberate people from this prison that is currently and silently wrecking people's lives globally and in developing countries.

Still according to Anti-Slavery Intl, Slavery is defined as "when an individual is exploited by others, for personal or commercial gain. Whether tricked, coerced, or forced, they lose their freedom. This includes but is not limited to human trafficking, forced labour and debt bondage." And we add, the refusal to pay wages when due because you want to keep the employee trapped even when you know they are no longer happy working in your outfit.

These statements go way beyond what we can just spill in one article, there are different people with quite varying experiences - We've decided to make this a blend of written, audio and video content series where people from all works of life can share their personal experiences, and we'll also invite guests to speak on this subject and how to tackle this issues.
